Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Saeed Al-Hiyawi, President of Wareth Al-Anbiya University, and supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Jamal Al-Taif, Dean of the College of Media, the Women’s Affairs Division at the university, in collaboration with the College of Media, held a seminar titled “Utilizing Media to Combat Violence, Harassment, and Extortion”. The seminar was delivered by Lecturer Amjad Ali Abdul-Kadhim from the Department of Digital Media on Monday, November 22, 2025, at the university premises, in the presence of faculty members and students of the College of Media.

The seminar focused on the most effective strategies for empowering Iraqi women to harness and utilize media—especially digital media—in addressing pressing social issues in Iraq, such as harassment, violence, and extortion.
